Health in Pregnancy in Malawi

Most studies into the health and wellbeing of pregnant women are done in rich, western countries, but do the findings of these apply to women in poorer countries like Malawi? The PRONE study has shown that conditions like preeclampsia and diabetes act differently in these countries, and that more research is required to explore these differences to their full extent.
