We built Scrolly Science because we kept watching the same thing happen.
The Problem
The pattern is always the same. Brilliant research. Competent content. Almost nobody watching.
A research group commissions a beautifully produced video. It goes on the university website. The press office sends a release. A few hundred people see it. The content sits there, buried under millions of competing pages, reaching almost nobody outside the people who already knew about the research.
Our directors have worked in science communication since 2006. Over that time, the team behind Scrolly Science has collaborated with more than 14,000 academics across every scientific discipline, built science communication brands across magazine, podcast, video and animation formats, and generated over half a billion social media impressions for the researchers we have worked with.
